We met on Match.com - because nothing says romance like algorithms, checkbox compatibility, and mutual agreement that a 4-year college degree was preferred (queue: geographic search expansion required...).Our first date? Postponed by Hurricane Harvey (because of course it was). Nothing like a catastrophic weather event to build chemistry and show character.Once we finally met, though, sparks flew - or maybe that was just the electrical transformer exploding down the block. Either way, this unlikely pairing of a horse-obsessed finance professional and a law-school-bound geek with a Corvette obsession just... worked.She talks EBITDA, warmblood pedigrees, and ranch chores like it’s a love language. He speaks fluent Supreme Court, Star Wars, and “please, no more dogs.”Together, we run on protein drinks, sarcasm, and a Google calendar that manages everything down to the minute.Romantic vacations? Think again. We traverse the country in a old diesel truck with baby horses in tow, sleeping in the tack room of a trailer and calling it “quality time.” Our idea of luxury is a night with no equine emergencies, no toddler meltdowns, and a working microwave.The "household"? Controlled chaos on wheels, literally. One pre-teen with a PhD in "cool", one three-nado with zero chill and limitless volume, and more dogs than humans...all shedding.Still, somehow, between the court briefings, board meetings, and show seasons, we’ve built something real: a partnership fueled by grit, spreadsheets, eye rolls, and big dreams.Now we’re making it official - rings, vows, and a registry that’s just one simple “help us lay a foundation” fund.Two overachievers. One storm-delayed date. Several thousand dog hairs per square foot. And a lifetime of building chaos, love, and Texas-sized dreams - together.
